Prosthetics

You are not alone.  There are nearly 2 million people living with limb loss in the United States.  Among those living with limb loss, the main causes are vascular disease (54%) – including diabetes and peripheral arterial disease – trauma (45%) and cancer (less than 2%).  Approximately 185,000 amputations occur in the United States each year.  ABC Prosthetics & Orthotics understands that your relationship with your prosthetist is a lifelong trust that only strengthens over time.  We will do our best to earn your trust with each and every visit, so that you can return to your activities of daily living and know that we are always here to assist in a moment's notice.

Direct Lamination

Direct lamination is new technology that allows the practitioner to laminate the prosthesis directly on the patients residual limb. The lamination is done under a pressure from a special ballon that will simulate standing pressures. This gives the patient a very comfortable fitting prosthetic. The process typically takes 3 hours, but the patient walks out of the that day with a custom make prosthetic. This process saves several office visits. Patients have really enjoyed being more involved in the creating of the prosthetic. We are the first clinic in Orlando to offer this new technology
