ABC's Rebeca Rodriguez Becomes Licensed Pedorthist

ABC Prosthetics & Orthotics is proud to announce that Rebeca Rodriguez is now a State Licensed and ABC Certified Pedorthist.  Rebeca completed her Pedorthic Certification last year at the Foot Solutions Academy of Kennesaw State University in Georgia.  She then completed over 250 hours of Pedorthic Observation and Training here at ABC before receiving her Pedorthist License from the Florida Department of Health.  We are very proud of her accomplishment and career growth!

Rescued Dog Gets Prosthetic Leg from Orlando Company

"Lucky" might not be the first word you'd use to describe a dog left abandoned, starving and abused in a rough neighborhood near Miami — a dog whose front paw had been cut off.

 

But on Wednesday, the year-old pooch trotted happily on her new plastic and carbon-fiber limb, seeming quite pleased with the odd path her life has taken.

ABC develops custom brace for Sea World whale with Scoliosis

Veterinarians and animal experts from SeaWorld Orlando are trying to help a whale with severe scoliosis by using a custom-fitted brace.

 

The female pilot whale — nicknamed "300" — was one of several pilot whales that beached themselves in the Florida Keys in May. She was one of two transported to SeaWorld Orlando's Cetacean Rehabilitation Facility for care.
